We decided to try your mattress because the baby, during the night, had a very stuffy nose and woke up many times to go to the comfort of the breast. We had to vacuum our nose 2-3 times a night. Great quality product! After the first night trial, I can say the mesh construction didn't bother my daughter at all (I was a bit worried as she used to sleep on a regular mattress). I think the ventilation actually helps her cool herself in that very warm night. It arrived pretty fast and well packed. It constructed from a lightweight metal frame with a firm net, on top, there is a thick double net layer to give you comfort. You can choose to use regular or mesh sheet on it. I haven't tried to wash it yet, but it looks very durable as it could easily last for a few years, with multiple kids. I think it worth investing in this mattress especially for newborns to reduce the risk of suffocation and overheating.

We would be getting up about 8 times throughout the night to turn her head and check her airway to make sure she can breath. We love our Numu! Our daughter has started rolling over and sleeping on her tummy so the breathable mesh gives us piece of mind. The customer service has also been fantastic, Numu do a great job of explaining how we can continue to use our Oricom breathing pads with the mattress. So easy to clean which is a bonus. I am absolutely over the moon with the numu mattress. I was very worried about my daughter moving into her cot and wanted a mattress that would allow air to flow (She is hot and sweaty) to keep her cool and also allow her to breathe freely if she slept on her tummy. The first night she rolled straight onto her tummy and could still breathe perfectly. After that first night I have zero concerns about her being able to breath. She transitioned from the bassinet to her cot perfectly, not a single issue. I am so happy with this mattress and recommend everyone buy one!!!

I couldn't recommend the mattress and mattress covers more! I sleep peacefully knowing my baby is safe and that there is plenty of air flow. They are very helpful and quick to respond to emails and the product quality is really good.
